Some Scientific Facts About Cannabis

Science has never been that simple and accessible. Take the opportunity to learn more about the plant and how it can help you.
You can have a look at the fascinating worlds of genetics and botany and understand why cannabis has become a natural solution for innumerable uses, for hundreds of millions of people worldwide and what health benefits it can provide.

The cannabis plant contains two main substances: Cannabinoids and terpenes, both of which affect the human endocannabinoid system.
Many ask how and why cannabis can affect the human body so strongly and effectively, like no other plant? Why does our body “like” the plant and its ingredients?

In many respects, it seems as if the plant is the “missing piece of the puzzle”, fitting in well as a natural treatment for several medical conditions. The reason is very simple. Our body is equipped with an important system called the endocannabinoid system, which interacts well with the plant ingredients that are called cannabinoids (CBD, THC, CBN and others). The cannabinoid receptors dispersed through our body are responsible for the link between that system and the cannabis substances (CB1 and CB2), located in the body.

This is quite intriguing, isn’t it? Let us understand a bit more about our bodily systems, about the different substances found in cannabis and how they interrelate. Read the next posts which explain more about the way our systems and cannabis interact.
